Well, it’s finally here… Our first commercial game! This project is the culmination of
blood, sweat and tears. Lots and lots of tears. If you didn’t know it, building a game is hard. Even a simple game like BullShoppe has its challenges (I’m looking at you, nav mesh). But we did it!
This game was developed by a small team of 3 composed of Dan Taylor, Griffin Dziok, and myself (Nick Glenn). It was created over the span of roughly 2 1/2 months. The primary goal of this project was to learn what it takes to release, market, and support a commercial game.
Up to this point the 3 of us have independently created a few smaller “demo” projects and experiments, along with some collaboration projects for a few game jams. Working on a smaller, more straight forward title like BullShoppe felt critical to our success of taking on more ambitious projects.
The game is available now for PC and MacOS via Itch.io with plans to release on iOS and Android later this year.
